MightyTracker Upgrade for LHCb: The MightyPix Prototype
ADL is contributing to the LHCb tracker upgrade known as MightyTracker — a next-generation detector optimized for the High-Luminosity LHC. As part of this initiative, we designed and tested MightyPix, the first HVCMOS prototype sensor tailored for LHCb’s requirements. This project underscores HVCMOS technology’s potential to replace traditional sensors in future tracking systems.

Collaboration and Support
Our work is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Impact and Vision
By leveraging HVCMOS sensors, experiments like LHCb can achieve enhanced spatial resolution, reduced material budget, and simplified detector construction—critical for sustaining discovery potential in the HL-LHC era.
