ATLASpix3: HV-MAPS demonstrator for research collaborations
For the ATLAS experiment, we developed the ATLASPIX sensor series.
The latest iteration, ATLASPIX3, features:
- Dimensions: 2 cm × 2.1 cm active area.
- Smart Pixel Matrix: 132 × 372 pixels with integrated time and amplitude measurement capabilities.
- On-Chip Electronics: Digital circuits for real-time signal filtering, hit processing, and data formatting.

This sensor serves as a versatile technology demonstrator, adopted by multiple research groups to validate HVMAPS for applications in high-energy physics.
The development of ATLASPIX sensors has been supported by German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and Helmholtz Programme Matter and Technology.
